Premise


You all have been brought to the Altar of Idys, a divine but silent being who has tasked you with restoring long-dead worlds in a corrupted dimension. These worlds, you will learn, need to be restored in order to function as new colonies for you and the people of your homeworlds. There is a deadly force sweeping across the universe, draining the life from every world it visits, and while your friends and families are safe for now, every single one of them is going to need a place to go, soon. You will be given a number of individual tasks to perform in order to use the power of your diligence to restore these worlds, and make them ready for those that follow. And if-- only if-- you and your fellow workers are successful in restoring enough pieces of this forgotten dimension to bring it fully back to self-sustaining vitality, and you are judged to have truly embodied Idys's spirit of diligence? You will have your pick of restored worlds to choose from, and be granted the blessing of a demigod upon the completion of Idys's mission.

Altar ([community profile] altar_rp) is a relaxed, locked, invite/referral-only comment-spam RP with a rotating world restoration setting and a theme of diligence. Characters will participate in their personal objectives, as well as twice-monthly themed challenges, in order to use the power of their hard work to restore the worlds they visit. Worlds will rotate every four OOC months. Day-to-day play will focus on participation in objectives, community-building, and development of the environment of the current world to make it more comfortable for player characters (and those that will, eventually, settle there.) World rotation may at times involve OOCly opt-in body modification to suit the atmosphere of the specific world! There is no real overarching plot, but getting Idys's blessing will eventually be actually ICly attainable as a drop method for characters who are in the game long enough!
